Responsibilities:
*
Perform all work in a manner providing for safety of self and all other plant personnel to include LOTO
*
Keep assigned work areas clean and in orderly condition
*
Document all work completed in appropriate log books and in CMMS database
*
Perform equipment repairs, alterations, overhauls, installations and removals
*
Fabricate new parts, alter parts and perform preventive maintenance to production equipment and/or utility and service equipment as directed
*
Utilize blueprints, sketches, catalog, wiring diagrams, precision measuring equipment and all hand and power tools
*
Responsible for replacing drive units and PLC's (programming PLC's), controls and automation migration across multiple platforms, working experience and knowledge of controls engineering design changes
*
Monitor all blow molding equipment, support equipment and downstream equipment for proper operation and provide feedback on any repairs or adjustments to keep equipment operating correctly and efficiently
*
Make quality repairs to production equipment. Will require some troubleshooting capabilities to accomplish tasks
*
Make electrical installations or repairs to production, utility or equipment and building facilities, including inplant power source
*
Make repairs to or install gas, water and air or vacuum equipment, using standard plumbing tools and equipment in a workmanlike manner as directed
*
Will direct and mentor trainees and/or lower classified maintenance personnel in performing assigned duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager
*
Perform other duties as directed by Management
Qualifications:
Requirements
*
One to two years electrical experience
*
Technical/Trade School Electronics and/or Associates Degree;
*
High school diploma or GED.
*
Willingness to work long hours.
*
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Preferred Skills/Attributes
*
Previous work in the blow molding manufacturing business preferred
*
Journeyman's License a plus. Working knowledge of PLC's
*
Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting or preventative maintenance.
